Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII

Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII. Anyone considering buying this game, I employ you all to not buy this game at launch and wait for the inevitable price drop to $30 or less, which should only take a couple months anyway (given FFXIII-2). This is now the 3rd FFXIII game, and whether you hated it, loved it, or just thought it was a decent game, I think many of us would still agree that Square-Enix needs to move on to something different and not spend an entire console generation making cheap sequels to any one Final Fantasy game. Consider this:

NES: FFI, FFII (JP), FFIII (JP)
SNES: FFIV, FFV (JP), FFVI
PS1: FFVII, FFVIII, FFIX
PS2: FFX, FFX-2, FFXI (Online), FFXII
PS3/360: FFXIII, FFXIII-2, Lightning Returns: FFXIII, FFXIV (Online), FF Vs XIII (???)
PS4/720: FFXV (?), FFXV-2 (???), FFXV-3 (???), FFXV-4 (????)

The reason Square is making all these Final Fantasy XIII games is because its cheaper for them to reuse assets and then charge for a full game. Don't give Square-Enix an incentive to be lazy and just spew out direct sequels all next gen. You might find that they could even break up a Final Fantasy game's story into parts; giving us an incomplete first game and expecting us to buy the sequels to complete it.

Vote with your wallet and let this game tank, even if it looks really fun. I promise you it will be cheaper in the near future after release. The initial sales of this game needs to do poorly for Square-Enix to get the idea that these direct sequels are not profitable for them.
